RARE DANISH SHIPBUILDRER'S PLATE
THE LAST OF A BREED!
Presented is a rare and very high quality plate in exceptional
condition, complete with three of its original mounting bolts and nuts. This plate celebrates the launch of Danish Nakskov
Skibsværft, (shipyard's) "BVGN" number 200 in 1973.
The Danish government began to stop the flow of subsidies to the counties shipyards
in 1996 which forced their closure beginning with B&W closing down. Most of the big shipyards followed. Elsinore, Nakskov Skibsværft, and Svendborg.
These three provincial towns were known for their shipyards, which attracted workers from the surrounding regions

This elegant plate is an exceptional record of both ship and passing
