Because of its large size, this cannon makes a great display. It
replicates an 8
Pound Field Cannon as used in the Revolutionary War.

Presented
is a very large size cast iron field cannon that is of the type used during our Revolutionary War.
The 8-pound field gun was a
medium weight, mobile piece that was a favored by both the Americans and the British of the field artillery
 The bore extends only
about an 1 1/2 inches into the barrel, and therefore this replica was not made to fire. However,  because of its large
size it makes an imposing piece which will catch everyone’s
attention.

marks of age as expected. There is a mold mark down the center of the tube, but there is no maker’s
