A
rare, high quality and interesting Gauge 1 electric model of the German DR 2C (4-6-0) Locomotive 382014 and four-axle
Bogie Tender plus 2 two-axle 3rd Class and one 1st Class DR coaches. The locomotive with a brass boiler,
and steel sides and chassis, and fitted with in-line motor and spar drive to rear axle. The engine and tender finished
in black with red trim. The DR coaches built from metal roof, sides and frames with wood inner chassis have
external and interior details including lighting and are finished in DR Moss green. The whole train being well proportioned
and detailed for the 1950’s – 60’s. Note: Even though all the cars are numbered “3”, we submit that
the car with framed opening windows is for 1st Class passengers. No
maker’s markings.
We
have not tested the model and there is no representation that it will run. Consequently, it is being sold as a table top display.

In Germany, and the rest of Europe and England there are many hobbyists that enjoy the satisfaction
or running model locomotive engines and train models. In addition to the hobby market, miniature models like this
were made by manufacturers of locomotives for advertising and as a record of their sales. They also were sought
after by hobbyists who were interested in in this form of hobby which is still flourishing today.

CONDITION: Seems
to be in good condition, but it has not been tested and may or may not run. The motor is thought to require AC current. There
are air vents missing from some of the roofs, and one coupler needs to be screwed in place. We are not train
people so there may be other things of which we are unaware. Please inquire. This
