RUBBER DIVE MASK
Presented is a rubber Dive Mask by The Ohio Rubber Company, Willoughby, Ohio. The mask is in like-new condition and will come with a War Department Manual for its use, maintenance, and parts. This is a wonderful piece of both dive and WW II history.

During World War II, The Ohio Rubber Company was contracted by the United States Government to manufacture a range of products, including diving masks, life belts, aircraft drop tanks, fuel cells, and tank tracks. Production efforts by the company were recognized with an Army-Navy “E” Award. During the war, more than 200 employees enlisted in the armed services. Following the war, the company successfully transitioned to the production of civilian products, including tires for farm equipment and toy tricycles, and rubber grips for bicycle handlebars.

The mask was in the collection of a very well-known dive historian who passed away.
