AMERICAN PILOT BOAT

By

Graham Flight

Framed painting
Framed 35″ x 31″ x 3 ½”
Painting 23 ½”x 19 ½
This dramatically and impressively framed painting by Graham Flight will add visual drama to any room.
Presented is a quite large and very impressively framed oil painting on artist’s board, of an American pilot boat in full sail off a coastal setting. Graham Flight is known for his contemporary realist style paintings, primarily of maritime subjects. Besides being an excellent draftsman, his painting style on this piece almost makes the ship appear 3 dimensional.

Signed on front Smith

There are a number of flags depicted, with one series of signal flags which could indicate the pilot boat’s ownership.

The painting is signed in the lower right, and appears to be signed 1977. Graham Flight was born in Kent, England in 1944 and lives and works in the U.S. This fine artwork has a very grand ornate guilt and frame with a nautical rope design around the painting. It creates a very impressive presentation.
