Lake Union Dreamboat Model

1929

Puget Sound

Dimensions:  Lgth:  33″    Beam:  8 1/2″   Overall Ht on Stand:  20 1/2″ (includes rigging)

Presented is a model of the Lake Union Dreamboat popular in the Puget Sound area in the late 1920s and 30s. It was built by N.J. Blanchard Boat Company and the Lake Union Drydocks company.  One of their most popular models was the 42′ Dreamboat.  These designs had headroom below, cozy cast-iron stoves and bright, airy pilothouses — welcome when cruising in the often-gray and rainy Northwest. And, as
stock models, they were “ready to cruise” the moment they left the builder’s yard.
