Presented is a rustic old three light,
12 bolt Korean helmet. It has many of the design features of a Siebe Gorman, except for its criss-crossed
guards over the side lights. It is also smaller and substantially lighter in weight at 30.5 pounds. The helmet is
complete except for a broken stud on the left center brail and a missing knob on the face plate. There are no numbers,
markings or a tag. Its rugged appearance will enhance any room or decor. Note the segmented top which indicates
its age.
CONDITION is as would be expected from a
helmet that has seen commercial service. Some of the parts are roughly cast without machine finishing. The helmet also shows
the green of verdigris in various places which adds to its character. There is one large dent in the front and numerous smaller
dents and some scuffing and field repairs to the solder. The air vents are intact. One stud on the breast plate
is broken off as is one knob on the face plate, and some of the butterfly nuts need freeing.
Like all our helmets, this is being sold for DISPLAY ONLY.
It should not be dived without having passed inspection by a certified dive ship.
