Presented is a beautifully painted scene by artist C. Myron
Clark
of a mid-19th century whale ship whose lines are
distinctively
American running near down wind in storm tossed seas under shortened canvas. The full rigged ship is un-named on her transom. The
sky is Grey to dark with indistinct clouds. The condition of the painting is excellent
and comes in an old gilded wood frame.
